Chinese Food Recipe? Green beans in this sweetish saltyish sauce?

I ate it at the A Chinese Buffet. It was so good :D It was just cooked green beans, and theyw ere in this sweet, salty brownish clearish sauce. Lol.

Anyone have an idea of what this is? Thanks! My mom really loves it too!

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans

Cooked correctly, Sweet and Spicy Green Beans are the perfect compliment to any Chinese cuisine.

Here’s a tip - Sweet and Spicy Green Beans can either be eaten as a entree, or served on the same plate as a main course.

**Makes 4 servings**

**Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes**

Ingredients:

375g green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dried crushed chillies
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons canola oil

Directions:

1. Arrange a steamer basket over a pot of boiling water, and steam the green beans for 3 to 4 minutes.

2. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, garlic, chillies and honey.

3. Heat the oil in a frying pan or wok over medium heat. Add the beans and stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes, then pour in the soy sauce mixture. Continue to stir-fry for 2 minutes, or until the liquid has nearly evaporated.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
